One fan in the front row caught Gwen Stefani's attention with a tattoo of her face on his arm.
The singer engaged the audience by reading directly from fan's signs and invited one audience member, donning a T-shirt proclaiming she had listened to the band for 17 years, to come up on stage and "make out." Another fan requested that Stefani design her wedding gown, to which the L.A.M.B. fashionista said she'd "check her schedule."
Stefani delivered enthusiastic performances of hits new and old, including "Settle Down," "Just a Girl," "Hella Good," and "Bathwater."
"I want to see every single person jumping with me right now," Stefani told the audience during "Hella Good."
The 43-year-old mother of two put fellow moms to shame with her rockin' physique. Stefani showed off jacked arms in a sparkly silver and black romper (ditching the black jacket) and later, during the encore, put her rock-hard abs on display in a glittering red crop top and billowy red pants.
Playing seven shows at the Gibson Amphitheatre to promote their new album, Stefani thanked the Friday night crowd for coming out after a full work week. She confessed, however, that there would be only one show that she'd remember forever, challenging the audience to make Friday that memorable night.
Guitarist Tom Dumont accompanied Stefani on stage for stripped down performance of "Hey You," from Tragic Kingdom, later in the show.
"You have no idea how much power you guys have over me," Stefani told to audience during "New."
While introducing the band, Stefani quipped "Yes, he's here," before the crowd exploded into cheers for bassist Tony Kanal.
The biggest hit of the night was undoubtedly "Just a Girl," in which Stefani mandated that all the men in the audience sing along with the chorus.
