‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’ Premiere

Best known for his role as Seth Cohen on The O.C, Brody plays Owen, the ex-boyfriend of Kiera Knightly's character, Penny. THR describes Owen as an "amusingly self-absorbed musician ex-boyfriend."

Funnyman Rob Corddry is reunited with his former The Daily Show With Jon Stewart correspondant, Steve Carell, in the film. Corddry plays Dodge's friend, Warren, who throws an end-of-the-world dinner party, and spends his remaining days getting drunk with his wife.

Laura Perloe, Chris Mann

Actress Laura Perloe and musician Chris Mann pose at the premiere. Perloe plays Sarah in the film and has had small roles in shows such as Fringe and True Blood.

Mann has recently been a finalist on The Voice, coached by Christina Aguilera, and has appeared in TV shows and movies such as Glee and Avatar.

The pair star together in the music video for Mann's cover of "I Want Your Sex."

Connie Britton

Connie Britton, who plays Diane, is best known for her roles in series such as Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story and Spin City. She is said to be starring in the upcoming TV series Nashville.

Baby on Board

Mom-to-be Drew Barrymore married her finace Will Kopelman in the beginning of June in Barrymore's Montecito, California mansion. Although this is Barrymore's third marriage, it is her first pregnancy. The actress and the art consulant have been together for a little over a year and have kept her pregnancy out of the spotlight, wearing a loose-fitting black blazer over her baby bump at the premiere.

A Pretty Penny

Knightly plays Penny, Dodge's "emotionally fragile young English neighbor Penny with just the right degree of irritating kookiness" in Seeking a Friend. This is her first American film since The Dutchess in 2008. Knightly wore an embroidered Valentino dress to the film premiere.

An Unlikely Pair

Steve Carrell plays Dodge, "a timid middle-rank office drone whose life clearly has been a series of quiet defeats and creeping disappointments." Carell's wife, Nancy, makes a cameo in the movie as his on-screen wife who leaves him for her secret lover sending him in a deep depression. Dodge teams up with his neighbor, Penny (Knightly), and the unlikely pair go on a journey before the end of the world.

Directing Debut

Scafaria is best known for writing the screenplay for Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. She made her directing debut with Seeking and also wrote the screenplay. She has also written the song "12 Gays of Christmas" for Nick and Norah's and wrote and performed "28" on the Whip It soundtrack.

Melanie Lynskey

Melanie Lynskey, who plays Karen, has appeared on Two and a Half Men and The Life & Times of Tim. She plays Aunt Helen in The Perks of Being a Wallflower alongside Emma Watson.
