In 2004, Woodley starred in the Hallmark TV movie.
Woodley starred in the Revolutionary War-era piece as Felicity Merriman, a spirited young girl with a passion for horse riding. The WB aired the project in 2005.
Woodley's breakout TV role saw her play Amy Juergens for five seasons on the ABC Family show, which ran from 2008 to 2013 before being canceled.
Woodley's first big-screen role came with Alexander Payne's 2011 film The Descendants. Says Payne, "She is that truly unique actress who can make even bad dialogue sound good."
The actress starred opposite Miles Teller in the acclaimed 2013 drama The Spectacular Now. Of his relationship with Woodley, Teller jokes, "I would say we have like a sibling relationship but with moments of sexual tension."
Director Gregg Araki’s adaptation of the novel White Bird in a Blizzard screened at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Woodley plays Kat Connor, a 17-year-old who lives with her father, Brock (Christopher Meloni, pictured), and mom, Eve (Eva Green), who ends up disappearing.
The Fault in Our Stars centers on a teenage girl stricken with terminal cancer who unwillingly falls for a boy (Ansel Elgort) in her support group. The two form a bond as they deal with their illnesses. The 20th Century Fox adaptation of John Green's best-selling novel hits theaters June 6.
Divergent, Lionsgate's upcoming YA adaptation, opens March 21. Woodley, who will be paid $250,000 to $500,000 for the first installment, according to sources, was the studio's first and only choice thanks mostly to her performance in The Descendants.
