Taylor Swift performed the first of her four sold-out shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday, Aug. 19.
"Oh, we're finally back in Los Angeles, aren't we?" she cooed into her red-sequined microphone, sending the crowd of (mostly) tween and teen girls into fits of high-pitched screams.
Swift opened the show with "State of Grace," first appearing behind a red curtain before walking down a long staircase wearing a white top and black high-waisted shorts.
The 23-year-old country-pop singer's show didn't hold back when it came to theatrical elements. There were plenty of sparks flying and choreographed dance routines taking over the large arena.
There were plenty of red accents during the show for The Red Tour, ranging from Swift's sparkling red guitar and microphone to the red polish on her fingernails.
Swift performed for two hours, spending quite a bit of time chatting with the audience about her songs, and how they are all about the red aka "crazy" feelings.
Swift went through several costume changes during her two-hour show. She wore glamorous red gowns and even an "I (Heart) L.A." shirt.
Before performing "22," Swift showed home videos of herself throughout the years, including clips of her performing in theater shows and at baseball games.
Swift welcomed two special surprise guests to the stage during her first show at the Staples Center. British singer Cher Lloyd sang "Want U Back" with Swift and singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles performed "Brave."
Swift played several instruments throughout her show, ranging from the electric guitar to the banjo to a bright red piano.
Swift's show focused mostly on songs from her latest album Red, including "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
The first L.A. Staples show was the 51st stop on her Red Tour.
Ed Sheeran performed his duet with Swift from her Red album, "Everything Has Changed," about midway through the show.
Sheeran also opened Swift's show performing a fun cover of Britney Spears' "…Baby One More Time."
