Ahead of the company's second anniversary, independent comic publisher AfterShock Comics has entered into an exclusive distribution arrangement with Diamond Comic Distributors, which will see Diamond become the worldwide distributor for the publisher in English-speaking countries.

In addition to comic book single-issue distribution, the deal will extend to bookstore distribution of AfterShock's collected editions through Diamond's sister company, Diamond Book Distributors.

"We are all very excited about advancing our relationship with Diamond to this next level," AfterShock publisher and CCO Joe Pruett said in a statement. “Not only will we now be able to reach more outlets, but it will become much easier for retailers to more accurately order our titles." Editor-in-chief Mike Marts added, "This new relationship with Diamond guarantees that a larger universe of both retailers and readers will have access to our rapidly growing arsenal of innovative titles by the best creators in the business."

AfterShock Comics launched in April 2015, bringing veteran Marvel and DC editor Mike Marts on board to build a stable of titles featuring up-and-coming and big-name talent with creators like Garth Ennis, Brian Azzarello, Warren Ellis and Marguerite Bennett publishing through the company in its first couple of years.

Diamond Comic Distributors is the world's largest distributor of English-language comic books and graphic novels, and the primary distribution network for comic book stores in North America. In addition to AfterShock, it has exclusive distribution agreements with all of the major American comic publishers, including Marvel Entertainment, DC Entertainment, Image Comics and IDW Publishing.
