Amazon's 'Welcome to Blumhouse' Unveils Creepy First Trailer

Four new films will unveil on the streaming service in October.

Blumhouse has unveiled a trailer packed with a look at four new films. Welcome to Blumhouse, a program of eight genre films from Blumhouse Television and AmazonStudios, begins rolling out Oct. 6 with The Lie from and Black Box, followed by Evil Eye and Nocturne debuting Oct. 13. Four more films not featured in the trailer will debut in 2021.

The Lie, from filmmaker Veena Sud, follows two desperate parents' attempt to cover up the horrific crime, when their teenaged daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend. It stars Mireille Enos, Peter Sarsgaard and Joey King.

Filmmaker Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr.'s Black Box follows a single father who lost his wife and memory in a car accident and then undergoes an experimental treatment causing him to question who he is. The film stars Mamoudou Athie, Phylicia Rashad, Amanda Christine, Tosin Morohunfola, Charmaine Bingwa and Troy James.

Evil Eye is based on the Audible Original production written by Madhuri Shekar. The film, directed by Elan Dassani and Rajeev Dassani, stars Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani, Omar Maskati and Bernard White. It centers on a mother who becomes convinced her daughter's new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past.

Nocturne, written and directed by Zu Quirke, is set inside the halls of an elite arts academy, where a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate. Sydney Sweeney, Madison Iseman, Jacques Colimon and Ivan Shaw star.
