Tom Holland may be the current cinematic Spider-Man following his debut in this summer's Captain America: Civil War, but his predecessor is apparently finding it hard to hang up his webs just yet.

In a teaser for his appearance on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, Andrew Garfield — promoting new movie Hacksaw Ridge — returned to his most high-profile role to date, albeit in a somewhat more budget-conscious manner:

Prior to the stunt, Kimmel asked the actor when he'd last worn the Spider-Man costume. "It was last night," Garfield joked. "No, two nights ago, brushing my teeth," he deadpanned. "Just a ritual, keeping the flame burning as long as I possibly can."

Garfield's short run as Spider-Man ended with 2014's critically drubbed The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
