'Ant-Man' Returns to His Roots, Teases New Relationships in New Movie Images

Always remember: Get out of the anthill before returning to your normal size.

When Marvel's Ant-Man character debuted in 1962's Tales to Astonish Vol. 1 No. 27, it was in a story called "The Man in the Ant Hill!" — an idea that, as demonstrated by new images released by the studio, the upcoming movie based on the character is more than ready to return to.

In addition to the sight of Paul Rudd's size-changing superhero stuck waist-deep in an anthill, the new images also feature the first look at David Dastmalchian as Kurt. Another image suggests that Corey Stoll's Darren Cross might not be the villain of the piece to everyone in the movie, as it teases a close relationship between the character and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly).

Directed by Peyton Reed and co-starring Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale and Michael Pena, Ant-Man will be released July 17. More images can be found here.
