Marvel Sets 'Ant-Man' Sequel for 2018
Good news for Scott Lang fans — Marvel Studios' smallest hero will ride again, with Ant-Man and the Wasp, a sequel to this summer's Paul Rudd vehicle, announced for a July 6, 2018, release.
The news means that the previously locked "Phase 3" schedule will shift for a second time (the first being when Sony's Spider-Man deal with Marvel was announced), with Black Panther moving from July 6, 2018, to a Feb. 16, 2018, release, and Captain Marvel being pushed out from Nov. 2, 2018, to March 8, 2019.

The studio also scheduled three untitled Marvel movies for 2020: on May 1, July 10 and Nov. 6.
Ant-Man, directed by Peyton Reed, shrugged off prerelease fanboy apathy to earn $178.5 million in the U.S. and $231.3 million internationally, becoming the ninth-highest grosser of the year to date domestically. The character will be seen next in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.
Word of Marvel's next moves was part of a sweeping release announcement made by Disney regarding its overall calendar through 2020.
