'Assassin's Creed: Valhalla' Launching Early Alongside Xbox Series X Release
French video game publisher Ubisoft revealed on Wednesday that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, the latest installment in the action-adventure franchise, will launch sooner than expected on Nov. 10 (it was originally scheduled for Nov. 17) alongside next-gen console Xbox Series X.
Set in Norway and England, the open world game will take full advantage of the console's technical advancements by running at 60 frames per second in 4K resolution.

"We are excited to announce that players will be able to discover Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sooner than expected! We cannot wait to see the world we’ve been creating over the past 3 years coming to life on all platforms... " said Julien Laferrière, producer on the game, in a statement.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will also land on PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series S, in addition to the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store for Windows PC.
Elsewhere, Watch Dogs: Legion will also be a launch title for the Xbox Series X, dropping Oct. 29. The game will also release on next-gen console PS5 upon its debut.
Set in the near-future in London during a period of mass unrest, Watch Dogs: Legion — the latest game in the franchise that has sold over 40 million games worldwide — will bring an enhanced level of realism to familiar locations such as Piccadilly Circus and Camden High Street.
