Ava DuVernay Accidentally Releases 'A Wrinkle in Time' Audio Excerpt

Ava DuVernay has had a covfefe moment

The Selma director has, apparently accidentally, Periscoped a brief audio excerpt from her upcoming Disney fantasy adventure A Wrinkle in Time.

She subsequently deleted the tweet, but not before thousands had had a listen.

With only sound and no video, DuVernay's phone or device captured over five minutes of audio before coming to an end. The audio, possibly from an editing studio, had Twitter users in a tizzy with many confidently proclaiming it from Wrinkle as the names Charles Wallace, Principal Jenkins and Dr. Alex Murry are mentioned, and all are key characters from the film.

DuVernay's late night phone fumble brings to mind Donald Trump's now infamous "covfefe" tweet, which became something of a phenomenon and has entered the lexicon.

Earlier in July, DuVernay tweeted that a teaser trailer for Wrinkle would be shown at Disney's D23 Expo event. The film is slated for release on March 9, 2018.
