'Captain America: The First Avenger': Marvel Unveils New Clips (Video)

Star Chris Evans also talks about suiting up and wielding the hero's iconic shield in the movie, which opens July 22.

Marvel on Thursday released two new clips for its upcoming movie Captain America: The First Avenger, which stars Chris Evans as the titular hero.

In one video, Captain America (aka Steve Rogers) battles the hordes of HYDRA with his iconic shield.

In another, Evans as Rogers gets his first introduction to the shield and its protective abilities.

In an intro for the clips, Evans talks about using different shields depending on what the scene called for, including rubber if he was asked to hit somebody or magnetic if he needs to slip the shield on his back.

Says Evans: "The first time you put it on, you think, 'This is kind of cool. I'm Captain America. This is fantastic.'"

The movie also stars Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Dominic Cooper and Natalie Dormer.
