Winnie the Pooh Is Back in 'Christopher Robin' Trailer

Ewan McGregor stars as the adult version of the bear's best friend.

A silly old bear is back.

Winnie the Pooh returns in the first trailer for Christopher Robin, which centers on the young boy from  A.A. Milne’s classic children's stories. In this case, Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) is no longer a boy, he's a businessman who is too focused on his work to have a sense of imagination — something Pooh and his friends will help him rediscover. It shows Christopher being forced to skip a holiday with his family after being ordered to help lay off part of his company's work force — but when he's at his lowest his old friend returns.

Christopher Robin was based on Pooh creator Milne's own son, Christopher Robin Milne. The character appeared in two books Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928), as well as in poems. Disney first adapted the character in animation in 1966's Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree.

World War Z and Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster is helming this new film, which opens Aug. 3.
