'Cowboys and Aliens': The West Meets 'Badass Aliens' in New Featurette (Video)

There's a new featurette out for Universal's summer tentpole Cowboys and Aliens with some bold statements from screenwriters-producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, executive producer Steven Spielberg, producer Ron Howard and director Jon Favreau.

Some highlights from the two-minute, 14 second piece:

Ron Howard: "It's everything I hoped for and beyond. The coolest version of the West meeting some badass aliens."

Steven Spielberg, who said the graphic novel "captured all of our imaginations": "The thing that I kept wondering was, 'Why hasn't anyone done anything like this before?"
