Anton Corp., the financing outfit that backed Paddington and the upcoming TV adaptation of His Dark Materials, and David S. Goyer’s Phantom Four production company have teamed for The Night House, a supernatural thriller from David Bruckner.

Bruckner, who directed a part of the well-regarded horror anthology Southbound and last helmed 2017’s The Ritual, will direct from a script written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, the screenwriters behind Super Dark Times and Stephanie.

Plot details are being kept secret, but Night House is known to center on a widow who begins to uncover her deceased husband's disturbing secrets.

Goyer and Phantom Four's Keith Levine will produce.

Anton will fully finance the project and sell it at the American Film Market. Endeavor Content is handling U.S. sales.

Bruckner’s most recent feature, The Ritual, made its debut at 2017’s Toronto International Film Festival and was picked up by Netflix. He helmed a segment in the 2012 horror anthology V/H/S and made his directorial debut with 2007's The Signal, which he also wrote.

Phantom Four, which Goyer runs with Levine, produced the Sundance hit Assassination Nation, which is set to open Sept. 21. The company is in prep on the horror thriller Antlers, which Scott Cooper will direct and has Guillermo del Toro also producing, and is working on season two of Syfy’s Krypton.

Goyer and Bruckner are repped by WME, while UTA reps Collins and Piotrowski. Additionally, Goyer is repped by John LaViolette. Bruckner, Collins and Piotrowski are repped by Grandview.
