'Upstairs/Downstairs' will be exclusively available via a promotion with Doritos and Walmart.

With less than a month to go before the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, DC Entertainment continues to lay the groundwork for its own superhero civil war with the release of a digital comic establishing the new world order that exists at the start of the follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — Upstairs/Downstairs will not only re-introduce audiences to the Superman who saved the world from General Zod at the end of Henry Cavill's first outing as the Man of Steel, but it'll also unveil the statue of Superman glimpsed in trailers for the new movie as well as set the scene for a Batman who is unconvinced by the idea of an all-powerful alien hero floating above humanity.

The issue will be exclusively available via a cross promotional partnership between Doritos and Walmart beginning on February 29, with fans required to purchase a specially-branded Batman v Superman Family Fun Mix pack before going online to pledge their allegiance to Team Batman or Team Superman before receiving access.

Upstairs/Downstairs continues a snack-food flavor to BvS's comic book promotion. In addition, special Batman v Superman-branded Dr. Pepper cans give fans access to five short prequel comics introducing the main players of the movie: Superman, Batman, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane and Senator Finch, the character played by Holly Hunter, while Batman and Superman cereals are also available from General Mills, each complete with physical promotional comics.

Digital comics have become increasingly common to promote DC's media properties, with the CW's Flash and Arrow, and CBS' Supergirl, all receiving digital comic series in the last year.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will reach theaters on March 25.
