Ahead of Tuesday's new trailer for Suicide Squad, things are heating up for the super-villain team. DC Entertainment has announced a new Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad comic book.

The new Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad April Fool's Special, sees THR's 2016 Comic Creator to Watch Rob Williams team with DC co-publisher Jim Lee for a one-off issue in which Quinn forms Evil Anonymous, a support group for super villains that's actually a front to learn each villain's nefarious plans. Teen Titans Go! artist Sean "Cheeks" Galloway also contributes art to the issue, which — despite the title — will be released Apr. 6.

Both the title's inclusion of Harley Quinn — one of DC's top-selling characters — and its use of Lee as artist, a rarity in recent years following his time on the Justice League series, point to the publisher's prioritizing of the special issue ahead of the release of the movie. The one-off is the second expansion of the Suicide Squad property in comics in recent months, with this month seeing the launch of the six-issue series Suicide Squad Most Wanted.

News of the April Fool's Special follows the first appearance of a number of new posters promoting this summer's Squad movie, with icons based on main characters from the movie and a new tagline — "Worst. Heroes. Ever." — showing up on Twitter and Instagram throughout the weekend.

Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Viola Davis, Suicide Squad will be released Aug. 5. A new trailer for the movie, its first official trailer following footage released after 2015's San Diego Comic-Con, will premiere during the CW's DC Films Presents: The Dawn of the Justice League special Tuesday night.
