Seeing the future of DC Entertainment's comic book universe has a cost — but, as it turns out, it's only a quarter. That's how much the newly announced DC Nation No. 0, a special sampler issue featuring new material from some of the company's top talents, will cost when released this May.

The 32-page issue will feature material previewing three high-profile projects coming from DC this summer: new DC signing Brian Michael Bendis and iconic artist Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez will create a prologue to the former’s upcoming Man of Steel miniseries, while Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Joshua Williamson and Jorge Jimenez will do the same for their forthcoming weekly series Justice League: No Justice. (Jimenez also provides the cover for the issue, above.)

A third story, by the Batman creative team of Tom King and Clay Mann, will tease a potential spoiler for the Dark Knight's upcoming nuptials as the Joker discovers that his archnemesis has a very special day coming up. Somehow, it seems unlikely the story will be about his checking out gift registries.

The issue will also feature a preview of the company's upcoming magazine, also titled DC Nation, ahead of its official launch. That magazine, which will be used to promote new product and material based on DC characters, will be available digitally and at comic book stores for free starting June 6.

The 25-cent DC Nation No. 0 will be released May 2.
