'Deadpool' Oscar Snub Won't Keep Ryan Reynolds From His "Scheduled Tickle-Fight"

Yeah, sure, it was a long shot for Deadpool to nab an Oscar nomination, but it was still in the cards, according to some awards experts.

Unfortunately for the film's rabid fans (like us at Heat Vision), that didn't happen. The move got zero nominations Tuesday morning. #Sad.

But you know who took it in stride? Ryan f—ing Reynolds, who responded with a joke (naturally) and congratulations to all other nominees.

"Regularly scheduled tickle-fight at Camp #Deadpool is still on. Congrats to all the nominees for these brilliant films. #Oscars2017," Reynolds tweeted in reference to his crew's celebration for their Golden Globe nominations.

We here at Heat Vision made a few arguments as to why we felt it was time for a (high-caliber) superhero to finally get a golden statue nod and what message that might send to Hollywood about it being OK to make these kinds of films for adults.

And even though the nomination didn't happen, we had a fun time daydreaming.
