Donald Trump's "Covfefe" Tweet Led to a Spectacular Twitter Nerd Moment
Sometimes social media is a pretty fantastic thing — especially when nerds are having fun.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday night had a memorable typo in a Twitter post, and the internet was kicked into overdrive trying to figure out what he was talking about when he ended a tweet with "Covfefe."
"Covfefe" began trending immediately and the jokes were flying, with numerous celebrities immediately getting in on the act.
There were some pretty great, comedic guesses as to what the gibberish meant, but it was the interaction between two Twitter accounts born of the typo that stole the show.
The accounts Covfefe the Strong and the Wizard Covfefe went back and forth, arguing over who was awakened first and what they had to do now that they had been summoned by that magic word.
"I have been summoned," Covfefe the Strong wrote, to which the Wizard Covfefe replied, "No, you fool! it is I who have been summoned! By the great orb of T'kketh!"
As if that wasn't good enough, the two accounts kept going.
"Stand down wizard," ordered Covfefe the Strong. "The orb is mine for the taking. Be off with you so that I may ask the orb master what he requires of me."
Wizard Covfefe, of course, was not backing down that easily: "Simpleton! The orb of T'kketh is not some play toy! You would be wise to rethink your course!"
Trump's original tweet was finally deleted, but thank goodness users got some screenshots of the fantastic nerd back and forth.
