The project, which has been described as being in the tone of Deadpool meets Mission: Impossible, centers on a group of six men and women who team up to fight evildoers. All have numerical code-names, with Reynolds’ character known as "One.” The script is from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who worked with Reynolds on the Deadpool movies.
The pic's roll call already includes Dave Franco (Neighbors), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Murder on the Orient Express), Adria Arjona (True Detective) and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton).
Character details for Raz were being kept secret.
Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are producing Six Underground, along with Bay and Ian Bryce.
Raz found international success with Fauda, the acclaimed series that was picked up by Netflix for its second season. He made his English-language debut with Mary Magdalene and will be seen opposite Oscar Isaac in Operation Finale, the Nazi hunting thriller from Chris Weitz and MGM that is set to open Aug. 29.
Raz is repped by UTA, Artists First and Ziffren Brittenham.
