'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' Moves to Summer 2021

Sony has also set a 2021 date for the 'Don't Breathe' sequel.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is on the move once again. Sony and Columbia Pictures have shifted the film's release date back three months to June 11, 2021. So far, it has the date to itself.

The film from Jason Reitman had been dated for March 2021, after previously being delayed from its original July 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jason Reitman directs Afterlife, which stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd. It follows the events of Ghosbusters (1984) and Ghosbusters II (1989).

Sony and Screen Gems have also set an Aug. 13, 2021 date for a sequel to Don't Breathe, the 2016 home invasion horror hit that was directed by Fede Álvarez. First-time director Rodo Sayagues is helming the sequel, and co-wrote the script with Álvarez. Ben Affleck and 20th Century's Deep Water is also st for that date.
