'Hitman: Agent 47' Teaser Pays Tribute to 'Mad Men' Titles (Video)

AMC's beloved Mad Men comes to a close this weekend, leading Hitman: Agent 47 to offer up a tribute of sorts, recreating the series' iconic opening titles… with a twist.

The video, which debuted at Nerdist, plays out like a reverse version of the Mad Men titles, leading to an assassination of a silhouetted character that just might be Don Draper's alter ego by another besuited figure. On show throughout the video are elements from the forthcoming big-screen version of the Hitman video game franchise, including images of Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and others.

Hitman: Agent 47, which stars Rupert Friend as the titular genetically engineered assassin — hence the barcode on the back of his neck seen at the end of the video — is directed by Aleksander Bach from a script by Skip Woods and Michael Finch. Judging by the movie's trailer, it might not be the ideal replacement for those seeking more Mad Men following that series' finale, but at least it knows how to grab some attention when no one expected it.

Hitman: Agent 47 will be released Aug. 21. Mad Men's finale airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on AMC.
