RLJ Entertainment has acquired all North American rights to the thriller The Mind's Eye.

Joe Begos wrote and directed the movie, which stars Graham Skipper and Lauren Ashley Carter. Mind's Eye made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Begos, Josh Ethier, Skipper and Zak Zeman produced the film.

Mind's Eye follows a man and woman with telekinetic powers who are pursued by the evil Dr. Slovak, who hopes to drain their powers.

RLJ plans to release the pic in theaters and on VOD later this year.

“Joe has an amazing eye and a clear love of old-school genre films,” said RLJ's chief acquisitions officer Mark Ward. “His first feature had a cult following, and we are excited to share his new vision of horror with audiences.”

ICM Partners negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.
