Jamie Lee Curtis Joining Rian Johnson's 'Knives Out'

Jamie Lee Curtis has found her next project following her big Halloween opening weekend.
The actor is joining Rian Johnson's Knives Out, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The ensemble film from the Last Jedi director also stars Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield, Don Johnson and Blade Runner 2049's Ana de Armas.
Heat Vision breakdown
Johnson is directing and co-wrote the script with his longtime producing partner Ram Bergman, with whom he collaborated on Lucasfilm's The Last Jedi. MRC is backing Knive's Out, described as a contemporary murder mystery.
Curtis' Halloween, in which she reprised her role as Laurie Strode 40 years after John Carpenter's original, opened to $77 million last weekend, becoming the second-best showing of all time for an R-rated horror film behind last year's It. Talk of a sequel is already brewing, with producer Jason Blum expressing his interest. Curtis next has the thriller An Acceptable Loss, which premiered at the Chicago Film Festival earlier this month.
In addition to Knives Out, Johnson is developing a Star Wars trilogy that would be separate from the Skywalker saga. Little is known about the trilogy, but he has said it would take place in a different part of the galaxy and feature new characters not seen before.
Curtis is repped by CAA.
