John Boyega Chooses Sides for Marvel's Upcoming 'Captain America: Civil War'
Hey, Captain America: It's beginning to look like you have that whole Civil War thing in the bag, with none other than Finn, hero of the Resistance from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, on your side. John Boyega pledged his allegiance to the Marvel hero's insurgent movement on Twitter Friday morning.
Following Thursday's release of the second trailer for Captain America: Civil War, Boyega took to social media to share his thoughts on the ideological conflict between Captain America and Iron Man over the issue of superhero oversight:
I'm with Captain America. FULLY.— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) March 11, 2016
The actor isn't convinced by the argument that superheroes were responsible for all the destruction seen in the Civil War trailer, apparently — nor is he that excited about the prospect of superheroes having to await an official go-ahead before saving the day.
All those cities destroyed by villains not heroes. #teamcap— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) March 11, 2016
If I'm in a burning building I hope iron man doesn't have to wait for his badge to come through the post before he saves me. #teamcap— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) March 11, 2016
And probably needs clearance for flight path. So crap. https://t.co/aB6eoHRZkP— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) March 11, 2016
But don't worry, Force Awakens faithful; Boyega hasn't abandoned his true affiliation.
Anyway above all #teampoe— John Boyega (@JohnBoyega) March 11, 2016
How long before Daisy Ridley comes out in favor of Team Iron Man to set up a Star Wars: Civil War on the set of Episode VIII?
Captain America: Civil War will be released May 6.
