Jon Hamm is set to star in the supernatural thriller Off Season, which is being produced by Nira Park (Baby Driver) through her Big Talk Pictures and J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water) through his Demilo Productions banner.

The film is the feature-length debut of writer-director Jonathan van Tulleken and based on his BAFTA-nominated short. Set in the harsh, frozen Canadian tundra, the story centers on a man (Hamm) who goes looking for his elderly father, who mysteriously disappeared. His feverish search exposes shocking family secrets long buried but not forgotten by vengeful forces at work.

Protagonist Pictures is handling international sales and co-repping with CAA for the U.S.

“Hamm in the lead role is the kind of good fortune few first-time filmmakers are a orded,” van Tulleken said in a statement. “I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to do this with such a highly esteemed team around me. Nira Park and Miles Dale are two of the most gifted and respected producers working in film.”
