Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Zachary Levi to Reprise Disney Animation Roles in 'Kingdom Hearts 3'
A number of familiar voices are coming to Kingdom Hearts III.
The new role-playing game, from Square Enix and Disney, will feature a wide roster of iconic characters from Disney and Pixar animated films. In addition to the familiar faces, many of the stars who voiced the original characters will reprise their roles for the new game.
Josh Gad, Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff will all return to their roles from 2013's Frozen, while Zachary Levi will also step back into the recording booth to voice Flnn Rider from Tangled. Donna Murphy, who played Mother Gothel in the 2010 film, will also return.
In addition to the worlds of Tangled and Frozen, Kingdom Hearts III also features sections inspired by other famous Disney properties such as Toy Story, Hercules and Pirates of the Caribbean. John Ratzenberger, who voices the sardonic piggy bank Hamm from the Pixar series, and Wallace Shawn, who voices the lovable, cowardly Rex, will lend their voices to the game, while Tate Donovan reprises his role as Hercules from the 1997 animated film. Kevin R. McNally, who starred as Captain Jack Sparrows first mate Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, will voice his character in the game.
The series focuses on Sora, a young hero who wields a magical keyblade, and his companions Donald Duck and Goofy as they traverse the worlds of Disney and Pixar franchises. Haley Joel Osment will once again voice Sora, while Tony Anselmo and Bill Farmer will reprise their roles as Donald Duck and Goofy, respectively.
Kingdom Hearts III will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 29, 2019.
