The same day the highly anticipated conclusion to Marvel's Infinity Saga hit theaters, NFL running back LeSean McCoy tweeted about one of the film's biggest deaths.

McCoy wrote two separate tweets about the demise of Iron Man, adding that Captain America should've died instead.

He didn't stop there, though. McCoy also tweeted a video explaining why Iron Man shouldn't have died. "He's the best one! He's smart, intelligent, cool. He's rich and everything. I'm done with Avengers," McCoy said.

His 730,000 followers and other Twitter users — many of whom have yet to see Avengers: Endgame and are tweeting with the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame — were outraged.

One particularly angry tweeter even started a petition calling for a termination of McCoy's contract with the Buffalo Bills.

"It is with the utmost disappointment that I must request the contract termination of Lesean [sic] McCoy of the Buffalo Bills," the Change.org petition reads. "He recently took to Twitter and spoiled a [sic] epic movie over a decade in the making for so many Marvel fans all over the world."

In addition to losing his spot in the NFL, the petition also requested that McCoy be banned from any future Marvel movies and that Twitter delete his account.

McCoy hasn't tweeted about any of the backlash yet.
