'Batman v. Superman': Lex Luthor's LexCorp Unveils Website, OS
Lex Luthor's charm offensive continues — following a profile of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice's businessman villain in Fortune and the news that LexCorp, Luthor's evil corporate empire, will be providing free WiFi at New York Comic Con this weekend, the company has launched its official website, promising "a better tomorrow today."
There's little on the website about what LexCorp is actually up to — although "something nefarious and with malicious subtext" is probably a good bet — but the company officially "provides expertise and research to the global marketplace and cross-industiry [sic] innovations that transform and inspire," according to a non-spellchecked blurb on the site's "About" page. "We build products that help millions of homes, business and governments work better."
One of those products is something called Lex/OS, unveiled via a video on the site. It's apparently "the world's most private and secure operating system, engineered with the protection you need — and the freedom you want." But even this comes with a dose of paranoia, it seems; the breathy voiceover says that the operating system "provides the safety and confidence you need in an ever-changing world." Apparently, when a flying man appears to save the planet, people get nervous.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on March 25, which gives Mr. Luthor a lot of time to continue building his reputation before his villainous reveal.
