20th Century Fox has optioned Taylor Adams' novel.

It will be the highway (rest stop) to hell.

Taylor Adams’ thriller No Exit has been optioned by 20th Century Fox with Logan scripter Scott Frank attached to produce. The novel centers on college student Darby Thorne, who, while on the way home to visit her mother, gets stranded in a blizzard at a highway rest stop for a night with four strangers. During the night, Thorne discovers a little girl locked in the trunk of one of the cars but she doesn’t know whose car. Without cell or phone reception and trapped by the snow, she must figure out who is the kidnapper.

In addition to Logan, Frank’s writing credits include such films as Wolverine, Minority Report and Get Shorty. He’s the writer/director/producer of the upcoming seven-part Netflix western, Godless, which is set to debut Nov. 22.

No Exit has racked up more than 2.3 million pages reads as part of Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program since it was published over the summer by independent U.K. publisher Joffe Books and ranks in the top 100 on the paid Kindle store. It is Adams’ third novel. He also directed the 2008 short I Feel Fine, which screened at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival. Adams is a graduate of Eastern Washington University, where he won the school’s Edmund G. Yarwood Award. He's repped by APA and the U.K.-based Lorella Belli Literary Agency.
