MGM’s The Magnificent Seven has added Focus actor Billy Slaughter to the star-studded cast, which includes Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

Antoine Fuqua is directing the Western, which also will star Vincent D'Onofrio, Matt Bomer, Haley Bennett and Peter Sarsgaard.

The remake of the 1960 film centers on a disparate group of seven gunslingers who are hired by a woman (Bennett) to defend her town from bandits led by a robber baron.

John Lee Hancock and True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto wrote the script. Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black are producing, with Walter Mirisch and Fuqua executive producing.

Slaughter, whose credits include When the Game Stands Tall, Parker, The Campaign and Colombiana, has just completed supporting roles in The Big Short, with Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale, and Daddy's Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. His other upcoming films include American Ultra, Geostorm and Midnight Special.

On the TV side, Slaughter recently joined SundanceTV's The Red Road. He is repped by People Store and Action Talent Agency.
