Dark Horse Comics is getting more involved in the Margaret Atwood business.

A day after the announcement of Angel Catbird, Atwood's upcoming superhero series, the publisher has confirmed that it will be publishing The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, a romance anthology featuring cartoons by the Canadian novelist.

Featuring contributions from Mariko Tamaki, Marjorie Liu, Trina Robbins and Roberta Gregory amongst many others, Secret Loves started its existence as a crowdfunded collection of non-fiction comics, prose and illustration described by editor Hope Nicholson as "stories about the loves of our lives (both real and fictional!), and our embarrassing moments as we grow and learn more about the complex worlds of love and dating, especially as they relate to our fandom obsessions."

Atwood's contribution to the project will see her not only write, but also illustrate, a series of cartoons about her experience as a young woman.

The Dark Horse edition of Secret Loves will feature a new cover by Nimona and Lumberjanes creator Noelle Stevenson, and is scheduled for an October 2016 release.
