Marvel Reveals 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor 2' Plots
Having finally learned the value of subverting their egos and pulling together for the team (thanks, Agent Coulson, and RIP) just in time to save the earth from Loki and Thanos' evil plot, the members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes just ask quickly split up, to protect the planet from further attacks and deposit more gold in Disney-Marvel's coffers.

Production on part two of the film monolith's audacious multi-episode superhero series has been underway since this summer, and the first details of their adventures are now available to the worshipping public.
The first of the new waves of outings will come in Iron Man 3, the latest chapter in the super saga that started the entire Disney-Marvel universe. Slated for a May 3, 2013 release, it will once again feature Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, but this one will be directed by Shane Black, who worked with Downey on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
The next film will be the second in the Chris Hemsworth-starring Thor series, which will be titled Thor: The Dark World, hits theaters in just a little over a year, Nov. 8, 2013. That one will be helmed by Alan Taylor.
Joss Whedon, the co-writer/director of Avengers, just recently signed a multi-year deal with the studio and will pen/direct the Avengers sequel, as well as help with the launching of the S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series.
