Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the writing team behind the 2010 DreamWorks Animation movie Megamind, are coming on board to pen Super Day Care, an animated project set up at Skydance Productions.

Actor Michael B. Jordan is producing the project via his Outlier Productions banner. Scott Glassgold of Ground Control Entertainment and Jarod Einsohn will also produce.

Plot details are scarce, but Super Day Care is set in a world in which there are superheroes and supervillains but only one super day care for all the super children.

The idea was originated by Douglas Britton and developed alongside Glassgold and Einsohn

Aimee Rivera is overseeing for Skydance.

Schoolcraft and Simons flexed their superhero know-how with Megamind, which took on comic book tropes and asked what happens after the villain finally defeats his arch-nemesis. Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Tina Fey voice-starred in the movie. Schoolcraft and Simons also worked on 2014’s Penguins of Madagascar.

Schoolcraft and Simons are repped by ICM Partners, Brian Lutz Management and Hansen Jacobson. Jordan is repped by WME and Bloom Hergott.
