New 'Deadpool' Poster Touts "Hero With Worthwhile Assets"

Ryan Reynolds' snarky assassin teased his sensual side.

Cinema's latest superhero is getting a little cheeky in the new international poster for next year's Deadpool.

Striking a suitably coy pose suggesting the iconic 1950s ad for sun lotion Coppertone, Ryan Reynolds' snarky assassin teased his sensual side in a new poster revealed on Twitter Tuesday morning by 20th Century Fox's U.K. division. The accompanying tweet described the character as "a hero with worthwhile assets."

The poster continues the tongue-in-cheek promotional campaign for the X-Men spin-off, playing up the comedic elements of the character in contrast to increasingly serious directions for both Marvel's and Warner Bros' superhero universes in trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War.

Directed by Tim Miller and starring Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool will be released in the U.S. on Feb 12, 2016.
