'The Conjuring'

Warner Bros. has set a June 10, 2016, release date for The Conjuring 2: The Endfield Poltergeist, the sequel to the New Line horror movie.

James Wan is returning as director for the movie, as are the first film's writers, Chad and Carey Hayes.

The movie continues the adventures of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

Conjuring scared up a whopping $318 million worldwide when it was released July 19, 2013.

The new date sees the horror movie going against Now You See Me 2, Lionsgate's sequel to its ensemble heist movie, and Uncharted, Sony's big-screen take on the Drake's Fortune video game franchise.

Conjuring 2 is due to start shooting early summer 2015.
