'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms' Trailer: Mackenzie Foy Leads Disney's Star-Studded Cast
Disney released the second official trailer for its new live-action spin on the classic tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
In the film, Mackenzie Foy stars as Clara, a young girl whisked away to an enchanted parallel world. The 17-year-old rising actress, who also appears on The Hollywood Reporter's list of the top 30 stars under age 18, is best known for her roles in Interstellar and The Twilight Saga.

In order to retrieve a lost key, first gifted by her late mother, Clara must venture into the depths of a mystical world ruled by the film's primary villain, played by Helen Mirren.
Morgan Freeman appears as Clara's godfather, Drosselmeyer, who offers guidance throughout her journey. The film marks Freeman's first film appearance since sexual misconduct allegations came out against him in May.
Other members of the star-studded cast include Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy and dancer Misty Copeland as The Ballerina. Newcomer Jayden Fowora-Knight plays Phillip, a soldier whom Clara befriends along the way.
Lasse Hallstrom (A Dog's Purpose, What's Eating Gilbert Grape) directs alongside Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger), who was brought on to lead significant reshoots.
"When I was asked to direct the remaining elements, I saw an opportunity to complete Lasse's wonderful and wildly inventive vision. I know we'll both be proud of the end result," Johnston said in a statement to THR.
Oscar-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Battle of the Sexes, Slumdog Millionaire) penned the script, with additional material from Tom McCarthy (Christopher Robin, Spotlight) and a story by Ashleigh Powell.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms hits theaters Nov. 2.
