Could Rebel Wilson soon be tussling with Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man?

During Wednesday's Today show, the actress told Matt Lauer that she has met with her Bridesmaids director Paul Feig about his forthcoming all-female Ghostbusters film.

"Look, I have had a meeting, but who knows?" Wilson said. "They have to look at the script when it's finished."

Lauer asked Wilson, who co-stars in this month's Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and 2015's Pitch Perfect 2, if the filmmakers had offered her the "money truck" for Ghostbusters.

"I would even do that without the money truck," she replied. "I'd do that for free. I probably shouldn't say that live on TV."

Ever since Feig announced he is teaming up with his The Heat screenwriter Katie Dippold on a reboot of the 1984 Bill Murray classic, speculation has run rampant as to who might star in it. X Files alum Gillian Anderson is among the performers who have publicly lobbied for a role.
