The new Dark Horse Comics series debuts in January.

Next year, Russian folk tales are going to take on a new meaning when they become the basis for Crimson Flower, a new comic book series from Dark Horse Comics that twists together old stories, conspiracy theories and trained assassins.

The series follows the survivor of a home invasion that has killed her family, and the journey she goes on in its aftermath — one that leads her toward potential vengeance as she tracks down the true story behind her loved ones’ deaths and finds new purpose in the process.

Crimson Flower is the creation of Matt Kindt (Mind MGMT) and Matt Lesniewski (The Freak), and launches Jan. 20 digitally and in comic stores. Watch the trailer below.
