Spiral: From the Book of Saw dropped a new trailer on Tuesday — and it is naturally disturbing. The new horror franchise chapter starring Chris Rock continues the series of bloody murders with more games.

Playing Detective Ezekiel "Zeke" Banks, Rock's character is on the trail of a copycat Jigsaw serial killer. Samuel L. Jackson plays his father, Marcus Banks.

A little more than two minutes long, the new preview highlights the same deadly mind games and torture devices that made the franchise a household name. However, the preview seems to indicate the film will take the horror series back to its psychological terror roots rather than focus primarily on gore, such as latter entries.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw, from Lionsgate and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, opens in theaters on May 14.
