The singer-songwriter (real name Annie Clark) will be joining directors Karyn Kusama, Jennifer Lynch and Jovanka Vuckovic on the project.

Musician St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark) will make her directorial debut in the all female-helmed horror anthology film XX.

The announcement was made by Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures.

Clark's segment was co-written and will be produced by horror veteran Roxanne Benjamin, whose credits include the V/H/S films.

In addition to Clark, other directors involved in the project are The Invitation helmer Karyn Kusama, Surveillance's Jennifer Lynch and Jovanka Vuckovic.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium," said Clark.

"I've long been a fan of Annie's work," said Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles. "We're excited to watch the singular vision she'll bring to this project."

Clark's self-titled album St. Vincent won her the 2015 Grammy for best alternative music album.
