'Star Trek Beyond' Stars Show Off Idris Elba and Aliens in Latest Charity Contest Video (Exclusive)

Star Trek Beyond Charity Contest - H 2015
Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin are taking fans on a tour of the Enterprise.

The crew of the Enterprise is giving a taste of Star Trek Beyond in the second behind-the-scenes video for a charity contest started last week.

Simon Pegg (Scotty) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov) have released a video from the set of the their third Star Trek film to show off some of the futuristic props, alien heads from the film — and a glimpse of Idris Elba on set.

The video comes as the Star Trek cast offers six fans the chance to win a trip to the set and be made honorary crew members. One winner is chosen a week, with five spots left. A grand prize winner will get a walk-on role in the film.

"It had a really solid start," Omaze.com co-founder Ryan Cummins tells The Hollywood Reporter of the contest's launch last week. "Just in that first 24 hours, we had over 300 million media impressions, which is a really incredible turnout."

The charity contest can be entered at Omaze.com, with donations going to support nine charities, each chosen by a different Star Trek castmember.

The Omaze team spent a few days on the Vancouver set before production began to work on the campaign and promises videos, to be released in subsequent weeks, featuring different castmembers showcasing their personalities. Elba, who is playing a mystery villain, may even have a video of his own.

Omaze has become a favorite among stars wishing to hold charity contests. Robert Downey Jr.'s campaign offering a trip to the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere holds the record as the highest-earning contest for an individual (more than $2 million raised), while the Star Wars campaign to visit the Force Awakens set raised the most money to date overall (more than $4 million).

Paramount's Star Trek Beyond hits theaters July 8, 2016, with Justin Lin directing.
