K-2SO isn't the only new droid introduced in this winter's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lucasfilm has revealed the existence of C2-B5, a brand new Imperial astromech droid that looks pretty much like R2-D2's goth twin.

C2 was revealed on this week's episode of Lucasfilm's The Star Wars Show, which suggested that the all-black droid might reveal more about the way in which the Empire treats its cybernetic help; host Peter Townley explained that, as an Imperial droid, C2 requires periodical memory wipes to ensure loyalty.

Could the process of memory wiping play into the Rebellion's plans to steal data from the Empire in the movie … ? And more importantly, which celebrity will provide the voice for the new droid, a la the secret identities of BB-8's vocalizers?

This week's Star Wars Show also includes an interview with Rayne Roberts, creative executive and part of the Lucasfilm Story Group, who talks about the moment of realization in the planning of Star Wars: The Force Awakens when it was decided to keep Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) out of the entire movie. (Much excited screaming was apparently done on the part of original screenwriter Michael Arndt, it seems.) Watch the episode below.
