A Star Wars fan on Wednesday took the first step into a much larger universe with a poster that pitched an Obi-Wan Kenobi film.

The idea of a stand-alone film based on that beloved character isn't new, but that is not what makes this poster stand out.

Posted was done by Tom Lathom-Sharp. The faux advertisement is done in the style of a spaghetti western.

"I've been working on the piece since around April, Lathom-Sharp told Heat Vision. "All in all it probably took around 25 hours. That's including planning, sketching and editing the poster."

The film is called simply Kenobi, stars Ewan McGregor and is directed by George Miller. The tag: "If you come to Tatooine, you don't mess with the most dangerous man on the planet."

The ad also makes it clear the picture is not for kids.

With all that is going on, the most fascinating aspect of the poster is the villain, who is a Darth Vader-esque character, but with some Western features, such as a cowboy hat and duster. It may seem silly at first, but it really does work.

The fan-made poster is so popular, it shot up the charts and was the No. 2 listing on reddit just hours after it was posted.

"The response to this poster has been absolutely amazing," Lathom-Sharp said.

I decided to draw and design my own poster for an Obi Wan Kenobi standalone film - in the style of a Spaghetti Western
