'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Premiere: Watch the Red-Carpet Live Stream

It's just like being there, without being able to actually see the movie.

Star Wars fans will be hoping that the Force is with the Internet tonight, with the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens being live-streamed as an additional tease for an audience already at fever pitch for the first new visit to a galaxy far, far away in 10 years.

The live stream, hosted by Lucasfilm's Andi Gutierrez, Anthony Carboni and David Collins, will feature interviews with the cast and crew of the movie, as well as fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favorite actors outside the theater in Los Angeles. Viewers are able to ask questions via Twitter, using the hashtag #TheRedCarpet Awakens.

The event is just the latest in a year of Star Wars-related live streams, following all four days of April's Star Wars Celebration convention and September's unveiling of merchandise for The Force Awakens. Sadly, no live stream of the actual movie is forthcoming anytime soon.

The broadcast begins 5:30 p.m. PT. on StarWars.com, courtesy of Lucasfilm promotional partner Verizon. The movie starts an hour later — which means fans will want to start avoiding the Internet for fear of spoilers almost immediately after.
