The villain will be part of the 'Rise of the Resistance' attraction, according to a new promotional video for the parks opening in 2019.

It may still be the holiday period, but Disney Parks and Lucasfilm are conspiring to make Star Wars fans wish it was next summer already — or fall, for those on the East Coast — with a new trailer for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the theme park opening next year in two Disney locations in the United States.

The trailer, released with little fanfare on Christmas Day, offers fans their clearest glimpse at the theme park built around the massively successful franchise, with both trips on board the Millennium Falcon and into the heart of the First Order available to visitors.

"It will be jaw-dropping and incredibly emotional to walk into the land for the first time," reports Lucasfilm Story Group vice president Carrie Beck. "To actually be standing there, among the buildings, among the ships, and have this feeling that it's all real — that it's been brought to life, and is right there in front of you is overwhelming."

The video teases the two centerpieces of the park, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, with the latter being described as "the most epic attraction we've ever built," by Disney Imagineering creative executive Scott Trowbridge. "You make it through that, you make it back to the planet, you're gonna be a hero of the resistance and celebrated throughout the planet," he teases, after revealing that visitors will come face-to-face with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver not included, of course).

Also audible are parts of John Williams' new score for the park, announced in November.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open summer 2019 at Anaheim's Disneyland Resort, and the following fall at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
