'Star Wars': Han and Luke Had a Touching Farewell Moment in Deleted 'Return of the Jedi' Scene

It wasn't going to be the last time they saw each other, but Han and Luke had a touching farewell scene that was cut from opening of Return of the Jedi

The moment, which takes place in a sandstorm on Tatooine immediately after Han is rescued from Jabba the Hutt, is far more impactful than the scene actually in the film, which is just the two men talking over the radio.

Having been the hero on numerous occasions, Han (Harrison Ford) realizes he finally owes Luke (Mark Hamill) for saving him from the galactic gangster.

The dialogue, for the most part, is the same as it is in the film, but it is far more impactful in person, especially when they shake hands at the end.

"Hey, kid! Thanks for coming after me," Han says. Luke responds, "Think nothing of it."

"I'm thinking... I owe you one," Han concludes.

Hamill reprises his role of Luke Skywalker in the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The film opens Thursday night.
