The #whereisJared question has finally been answered.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer tweeted a picture of the cast on Wednesday that sent the Internet crazy.

Fans and curious observers alike got a first look at the super-villain ensemble that includes Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), the Enchantress (Cara Delevigne), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) as well as Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and many others. One notable villain was missing though: the clown prince of crime himself — the Joker — who is set to be played by Oscar winner Jared Leto

The Internet being the Internet, furious speculation almost began immediately with the hashtag #whereisJared springing up amongst concerned fans.

But Ayer had a joker up his sleeve, teasing fans with a blurry but unmistakable picture of Leto as the Joker, complete with green hair and holding a camera in a nod to Alan Moore's seminal Batman: The Killing Joke graphic novel cover.

Suicide Squad hits theaters Aug. 5, 2016.
