Bad news for those hoping to see more of Emilia Clarke's Sarah Connor after last year's Terminator: Genisys: The Game of Thrones actress has revealed that she has absolutely no plans to return to the franchise.

When asked if she'd play robot-killer Connor again by ComingSoon.net, Clarke's response was short and to the point: "No. Can I say that? It's okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up."

Her declaration potentially puts another nail in the coffin of any potential sequel to Genisys, which flopped at the box office last year — earning only $89 million in North America and $440 million worldwide — despite being intended as a reboot of the once-successful franchise.

Fans and critics alike were not impressed by the movie's take on the franchise's mythology, with THR's Todd McCarthy calling the movie "a good litmus test of how keen the public is to see basically the same old thing in a new (but very similar) bottle."

In January, Paramount said that it had taken the proposed sequel to the movie off the release calendar. It had originally been set for May 2017.
